We are still offering Online Worship for those not yet comfortable in a public setting.
We look forward to celebrating with the Covenant and Stoughton Communities engaging together and would like to invite everyone to a few fun filled opportunities below:
Covenant wants to give you an opportunity to learn more about us!
Pastor Wendy will be holding 2 New Comer classes to learn more about the Lutheran church and Covenant’s history, our mission and opportunities for involvement.
If you have been attending Covenant for a while, have joined us more recently. Or if you are trying to decide if Covenant is the church home for you, please join us for these two classes, if they work for your schedule. If they do not, but you are interested, please let us know that also.
Saturday, October 8 – 10am-11am
Tuesday, October 11 – 6:30pm-7:30pm
Different topics will be covered each time, so, ideally, you would attend both dates. If only one works for you, we will work with that, just let us know. We will meet in the Gateway Room. The doors to enter are what we call the Columbarium doors, the set of doors to the left of the main doors under the car port.
These classes are designed to be informal and informational and to make connections. If at the end of these classes, or at any other time, you would like to officially join Covenant, there will be opportunities to officially welcome and receive you as members.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Blessing of the Pet's

Bring your stuffies, Cats, Dogs, Caged Pets too and get them a blessing to take with them throughout the year!
Bible Study Returns September 28, Wednesday, 7pm
Hybrid – in person in the Gateway Room or via zoom.
We will be using a video series entitled Reading Biblical Literature: Genesis to Revelation by Professor Craig Koester, Ph. D of Luther Seminary. I used this course in the past and new and long-time church goers enjoyed this look at the Bible from beginning to end.
Professor Koester is engaging and uses the narratives of the Bible to help us understand God and God’s activity with humans better. We’ll cover the Old and New Testament narratives, plotlines and tensions, conflict & reconciliation.
We will laugh at the absurdities uncovered and connect with the humanity of characters in the biblical stories.
Join us Wednesdays @ 7pm in-person in the Gateway Room or via zoom! (Linked: Just click to join!)
Education Team Craft
On October 28th from 6:30 to 8:00, we will be making haunted houses similar to gingerbread houses.
Please let us know if you would like to join. We want to make sure we have plenty of supplies.
If you have friends outside the congregation who would like to come with you, just add them to this RSVP or contact the office.
“We want Covenant to be a church that is unafraid to confront hard questions about justice, equality, power, and privilege from the perspective of a grace-filled God. We want Covenant to help people understand, question, and challenge the social structure that, in ways benign and malignant, visible and invisible, benefits some and disadvantages others. We want to explore how God's vision for our lives and our church calls us to challenge injustice within ourselves and culture.”

“We testify to the hope that inspires and encourages us. We announce this hope to every people, and witness to the renewing work of the Spirit of God. We are to be a herald here and now to the new creation yet to come, a living model. “ ELCA Social Statement – Caring for Creation: Vision, Hope and Justice
