Hug-A-Bear

This new ministry, sponsored by the Health and Wellness Cabinet is called the Hug-a-Bear Ministry. These little bears were hugged and blessed by you and your family to help bridge that Faith-Health Connection. The Pastoral staff will be sharing these bears with those among us who are either experiencing joy or difficulties in life. They may be shared at a birth or baptism as well as hospitalization or other times of stress. These bears will represent our love and care as a congregation for individuals and their families. If you would like to know more or would like to get involved, please give me a call.

Are You a Babysitter?  Do You Need a Babysitter?

Covenant is working on putting together a list of babysitters in the congregation. We have many families with young children, as well as a lot of youth that would like to babysit those young families. To assemble such a list, we need your help.

If you have a daughter or son who would like to be on the list of Covenant babysitters, please e-mail us with the following information: Name; Birthdate (used to calculate age; birthdate won’t be on the printed list); Telephone Number(s); Any certifications/classes/ other notes (for instance, Red Cross certified. Sitters can be on this list without certification, but we will be including this information on the list).

Once compiled, the list will be posted at church, available through the church office and e-mailed out periodically.

We hope to post the list by mid-April, so if you are interested, please get your information to us as soon as possible.

Movie Library Now Available to You

Do you ever wonder how we get the movies we have for movie night? Well, there have been many sources: the library, Red Box©, Netflix©, and the Movie Gallery while it was open. Another very common source has been Amazon.com©. And thus, what started out as a movie or two has become a large collection of movies. Why do you care? Perhaps you don‘t! But if you do, these movies are now available for you to borrow – at no charge! Here‘s what you need to know:

Contact Mark for a list of movies. Pick out one that you and your family would like to see. E-mail Mark at markdoll@chorus.net. Mark will e-mail you and let you know if it is available. If it is, he will hold it for you until you can pick it up. When you‘re done watching it, bring it back, and feel free to select another. Kind of like Netflix©, with out the “net” part. Oh yeah, and without the money part.

If you need more information about any of the movies, feel free to e-mail me and I‘ll provide you the details I have. The only restriction is that there is only one movie allowed out to a family at a time.
