Outreach Ministry Focus during Lent

Newborn Kits and Hospice Kits

During the Lenten season we will be partnering with Global Health Ministries for our outreach ministry focus. Global Health Ministries ships out medical equipment and supplies around the world to Lutheran health care partnerships in order to provide health care to those most in need. You can help by bringing in supplies for hospice kits and/or newborn kits. These kits will provide needed resources to Lutheran health care centers in order to care for the vulnerable people they serve. The need is great right now as Global Health Ministries has no more kits left to send out. This will mark over 10 years partnering with this ministry and we are excited to continue working with them. Last year Covenant Lutheran Church donated enough supplies for 102 kits! These kits went out to Lutheran mission hospitals and clinics in Tanzania, Liberia, Cameroon, Madagascar and Zimbabwe. They send their sincere gratitude for our gifts and have said they really made a difference for the health programs and people being served. Let’s continue to bless this ministry by giving back.

We will begin collecting items on Ash Wednesday, until Easter. Look for labeled baskets to drop off your donation. Money will also be accepted that will go towards shipping costs, at $5 to per kit. Our goal is to provide supplies for 50 hospice kits and 50 newborn kits. For more information on Global Health Ministries visit
