Care Ministry Team: Giving and Receiving
Since 2010, members of Covenant’s Care Team have made a real difference in the lives of others; they give freely of themselves. All members of our team have completed background checks and know the importance of keeping all services confidential. All team members have been trained by Catholic Charities’ Aging Services, a valued partner in this ministry. Team members provide important ministry to those who receive their services, both care partners and their caregivers.
Team members care for those they visit in several ways as needed and appropriate: Provide companionship and socialization (this is primary!) Help with errands. Assist with mail, correspondence, reading, phone calls, etc. Take notes during doctor appointments. Provided occasional transportation and/or outings.

Covenant’s Care Team Ministry has been around for 2 ½ years, but maybe you are still wondering what we are about. We enjoy visiting members of our congregation that are homebound, in assisted living or nursing homes to let them know they are still a valued member of Covenant. The visits may be just social, but we can also provide assistance with errands or light household tasks, or provide respite for a caregiver.
